I'm ashamed to admit that, while I've lived in Maine my whole life, I have never been to Bar Harbor. It has taken me long enough to determine that while Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor are all in relatively the same location, they are in fact different places. Jacob and I brought our dogs, Zoey and Noodle, up for the weekend to go camping with us. We spent the afternoon visiting the sites in Acadia National Park like Otter Cliffs, Thunder Hole, and Cadillac Mountain. I expected the whole experience to be a metaphor for one of those cheesy tourist t-shirts, but was blown away by the beauty before more. Kudos, Maine, you did good. Wicked good.
